Sometimes the most compelling improv scenes aren’t about wild characters or big twists, but more about normal people, in everyday situations, navigating honest relationships. NORMAL PEOPLE is a course about slowing down, listening deeper, and finding the spark in the ordinary. You’ll explore how to build truthful, grounded scenes that resonate, without needing to push for conflict, jokes, or spectacle.

What’s inside NORMAL PEOPLE?

• BEING PRESENT: Strengthen your ability to listen, respond authentically, and stay connected to the moment, without rushing to invent.

• BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS: Focus on creating believable characters and dynamics that grow naturally from scene to scene.

• FINDING THE INTERESTING: Learn how to notice and explore small details: emotions, silences, shifts, etc., things that make “normal” scenes feel real and alive.

• STAYING SIMPLE: Practice trusting that a scene doesn’t need to be “about” something dramatic to be deeply engaging and satisfying.

★★ This course is suitable for those who have completed at least the basic level of improv. English is the main language to be used for instruction and discussion in class.
