In this all-level inclusive workshop, participants will explore tools from classical Mime and Mask work to create memorable, dynamic characters and craft compelling scenes. Using techniques like isolation, clicks, and pantomime, improvisers will learn to build clear environments and physical objects. Mask exercises will guide participants in embodying unique characters, shaping physicality, and creating countermasks to add depth and contrast.
Through guided activities, participants will refine their ability to convey nuanced stories without relying solely on words. By the end, participants will combine these skills in group scenes and reflective discussion, gaining practical techniques to enhance their character work and stage presence.
This creative, single-session workshop is ideal for improvisers seeking to deepen their physicality and storytelling.
