Time for some love! In this workshop about Romantic Comedy, we will see how the style is played in cinema. The meeting, the love, the drama, the breakup, the surprises: every turn in a rom-com responds to logic, which is what makes it so compelling. In this workshop, we’ll look at these elements and balance traditional storytelling with the particularity of each improvised story.

⚫︎ ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

I am a professional improviser, director, author, and actor from Italy, currently based in Belgium, where I am the founder and Artistic Director of Impro Brussels and the Brussels Shuffle, respectively Belgium’s largest English-speaking Improv school and Brussels’ first international anglophone Improv Festival.

My Improv journey started in Italy in 2006, alongside my studies in writing and storytelling, and it has since become my full-time profession. After working all around Italy, in 2017 I moved to Brussels. 

My storytelling, directing, and writing background help me develop improv tools in areas like narrative, characters, and improvising in different genres. Over the years, I trained improvisers from their first years in the craft to their professional formats, to mentoring them in their journey to becoming teachers themselves.
