That’s why at this jam with our special host Billy Trần, real words are officially banned. We’re trading dictionaries for pure instinct, emotion, and unapologetic gobbledygook. You’re also welcome to flex that random high school Spanish you forgot, or the Japanese Duolingo streak you’re about to lose.

ABOUT THE HOST

Trần Quang Anh (Billy) is an improviser and actor currently splitting his rent between Vietnam and Singapore. He has performed and taught across Manila, Singapore, and various international festivals, and serves as a coach at Larks’ Improv Theatre. He’s also the co-creator of troupes you might have heard of, like The Kitchen Gods, 7-Star Cendol, and Kingfishy.

Billy loves storytelling that is playful, chaotic, and deeply real. He describes himself as "bye-lingual", meaning he has spent years away trying to master Vietnamese, only to somehow get worse at English in the process. He's ready to bring his linguistic crisis to the stage, and he's taking you down with him.
